Find Out How to Have a Beautiful Smile

Find Out How to Have a Beautiful Smile

So our hygiene team is really caring and they really care about helping each patient out with their overall health. There's been a lot of research in the past 10 years or so that's come out showing that your oral health is connected to the rest of your health, whether that be through your heart or diabetes, different things, everything's related. And so they're really great at helping patients understand that, but doing it in a very friendly way.

We don't want to just lecture you on how you need to floss more or things like that. We understand that's annoying and everyone already knows that, but we want to help you, you know, just feel comfortable and help you in the confidence and knowledge that you need to be able to take great care of your health so that you can chew and function and not have to worry about it. So coming to regular check-ins and appointments is really important because, you know, most things can be caught before they become really expensive and hard to fix.

So usually if a tooth has started to hurt, then it's going to need, you know, a lot more work than if we were to catch that early on and get it fixed before it starts to cause pain. Even if you're not feeling pain, that doesn't mean that something is going on. You know, typically if you're feeling pain, that may mean that you need a root canal or that you, you know, your tooth may need to come out potentially.

But a lot of times we can have, you know, silent issues going on that can be caught a lot easier and be treated a lot easier if we get it fixed soon.

They were speedy and efficient. My appointment was at 3pm. They took me back at 3:05pm and I was in my car, on my way home by 3:20pm. Granted it was only one cavity to be filled, but I was expecting a 20-30 minute filling.

As usual I had a great experience. Nothing like getting a bridge all in the same visit. Very happy. I cannot say enough about the quality of care I receive at Skyview. It is all the staff combined that makes you feel so relaxed and well cared for.

Just got their in-house built crown on yesterday and finally have a happy jaw! Thank you Skyview, you won me and my family’s business!

Commonly Asked Questions About General Dentistry

What is general dentistry?

General dentistry is what we do here. We feature general dentistry solutions that will help keep your mouth healthy and your smile looking its best all through your life. This includes thorough examinations to screen for problems and to assess your teeth, gums, and mouth in general. General dentistry also includes protective measures like dental sealants and teeth cleanings to prevent dangerous plaque, tartar, and bacteria from causing disease, decay, and worse.

What foods are healthy for my teeth?

If you want a healthy smile, you'll want a diet rich in whole grains, fiber, fruits and vegetables, calcium, and lean proteins. Make sure you avoid sugary drinks or sticky sweets, which can damage your tooth enamel. Drink plenty of water too! This washes away bacteria from your teeth and gums.

Should I use mouthwash?

Using mouthwash can be a beneficial addition to your oral hygiene routine. It can help freshen your breath, reach areas that brushing and flossing may miss, and reduce the bacteria that cause plaque and gum disease. However, it's important to choose a mouthwash that suits your specific needs and follow the instructions carefully. Remember, mouthwash is not a substitute for regular brushing and flossing, but it can be a helpful complement to maintain good oral health.
