A native of Middleton, Idaho, Dr. Calvin Despain graduated as valedictorian of Middleton High School. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University-Idaho before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.

Dr. Despain's dedication and clinical skills were recognized with highest distinction honors, placing him in the top five percent of his graduating class. He also received the Dr. Tillman E. Miller Clinical Achievement Award and was inducted into the esteemed Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society for his professional integrity and commitment to clinical excellence.

Since dental school, Dr. Despain has enhanced his expertise through advanced training in CEREC same-day crowns, dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry procedures. His professional growth allows him to provide his patients with the latest technologies and treatment methods.

In his personal time, Dr. Despain enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle and cherishes quality time with his wife and children. He is passionate about delivering exceptional dental care to members of the community he calls home.

The dental assistant was very friendly, helpful, and attentive, providing clear instructions and helpful information throughout the process. The dentist was also very kind and careful, ensuring that everything was done meticulously while prioritizing my comfort. The procedure was surprisingly fast — we were in and out in under an hour. Overall, I highly recommend this dental practice for their professionalism, efficiency, and caring approach.

I got dentures late March of 2024. The lower partial denture broke 01/14/2026, shy of 2 years. I'm unhappy with this and there is no mention of a warranty. Surely they should last longer or I should receive a partial refund. So, very shortly after posting this review, Dr Despain's office called... I got dentures late March of 2024. The lower partial denture broke 01/14/2026, shy of 2 years. I'm unhappy with this and there is no mention of a warranty. Surely they should last longer or I should receive a partial refund. So, very shortly after posting this review, Dr Despain's office called and we discussed my broken partial. He has offered to replace it at no charge and an appointment was made. I will post here when I have my new partial. I am very happy at this point, and thank Dr Despain and Melinda. March 2nd and all is well. Thank you, Dr Despain and crew! The new lower partial denture is excellent!
