A native of Middleton, Idaho, Dr. Calvin Despain graduated as valedictorian of Middleton High School. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University-Idaho before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.

Dr. Despain's dedication and clinical skills were recognized with highest distinction honors, placing him in the top five percent of his graduating class. He also received the Dr. Tillman E. Miller Clinical Achievement Award and was inducted into the esteemed Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society for his professional integrity and commitment to clinical excellence.

Since dental school, Dr. Despain has enhanced his expertise through advanced training in CEREC same-day crowns, dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry procedures. His professional growth allows him to provide his patients with the latest technologies and treatment methods.

In his personal time, Dr. Despain enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle and cherishes quality time with his wife and children. He is passionate about delivering exceptional dental care to members of the community he calls home.

I’m a 76 year old disabled veteran and usually go to the Spokane VA Clinic for dental care. Since the distance is so far they allowed me to see Dr. Despain. The VA covers necessary care. I needed and wanted two implants which are elective procedures. I received my first implant which felt... I’m a 76 year old disabled veteran and usually go to the Spokane VA Clinic for dental care. Since the distance is so far they allowed me to see Dr. Despain. The VA covers necessary care. I needed and wanted two implants which are elective procedures. I received my first implant which felt so natural and improved my ability to chew that I decided to get the second one. It’s an out of pocket expense but well worth it.
